Ruth Newnam is a Dr. Vodder School trained lymphatic massage therapist and leads this introductory workshop. Lymphatic massage is a gentle, non-invasive and highly effective way of reducing many types of inflammation. It can be used to aid in the recovery and treatment of various types of inflammatory conditions and minor pathologies.

This two-day course will explore:

  • anatomy of the lymphatic system including superficial and deep structures
  • the lymphatic system’s relationship to immune function
  • the application of lymphatic massage in the treatment of minor pathologies
  • strategies for integrating lymphatic techniques into traditional massage sessions
  • hands-on techniques and sequences to complete a full body lymphatic focused session

Lymphatic massage is a gentle, painless, non-invasive, effective way of reducing many types of inflammation. It can be used to aid in the recovery and treatment of sports-related injuries, post-surgical inflammation and scar tissue development, allergies, chronic infections, and other stress-related and autoimmune conditions. Lymphatic massage can be applied for the purpose of detoxification and improvement of minor pathologies such as migraines, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and sinusitis.

This introductory course explores the structure of the lymphatic system and its relationship to immune functioning in the body. Learn lymphatic techniques, sequences, and strategies that can be integrated into traditional massage sessions or stand-alone as full-body sessions.

What to bring: Please bring a massage table, sheets, bolster/ pillow. If you want seating other than a folding chair, please bring a rolling stool. If you are unable to bring a massage table, please let us know in the Order Notes section at checkout. We will need one massage table for every two people attending.
